Hannah & Tom’s small wedding in Sale, Manchester
There is something so effortlessly chic about a Town Hall Wedding. Sale being one of my favourite Town Halls close to Manchester!
I’ve always been a huge fan of small wedding ceremonies followed by a private dining experience. Hannah & Tom had their reception after their Town Hall ceremony at Malmaison in Manchester where their closest friends and family joined them for a special meal to celebrate the day.Â

How did you two meet?: We met on Hinge in June 2020- as lockdown was lifting. Our first date was a walk as no where was open. We met on the corner of Deansgate by the tram stop. We ended up going on a 4 hour walk! During this time we sat down for periods to chat. I even convinced Tom to show the the tattoo on his foot he thought was so terrible. We both brought alcohol gel with us and agreed if we wash our hand then it was safe for us to touch and hold hands. By the end of the evening we again we were debating if was safe to hug. I (Hannah am I doctor and was working on a covid ward) but Tom was happy to take the risk and we ended our long walk with a much needed extended hug. The rest is history!
Describe the proposal!: Our 2 year anniversary was about 10 days before we went on holiday. On the day of our anniversary we had booked a meal in one of our favourite restaurants and Tom surprised me by taking me ring shopping/ browsing during the day. We looked at room rings to get an idea of what I wanted. 10 days later we arrive in Tenerife, after several delays quite late at night. The next day we have a relaxed day exploring and relaxing on the lovely terrace of our apartment. The terrace looks out onto the coast. We agree to be ready before sunset so we can head out for dinner. I throw a dress on and tie my hair back. I notice Tom appears more dressed up in a shirt. We have a drink on the terrace and I’m told to look at the sunset. When I turn round Tom in down on one knee with the ring. We celebrated with a few drinks out in town.
What is special about your venue?:Â My parents (Hannah) got married at Sale Town Hall. We just want a small intimate wedding which is Manchester based hence booking the Ember Lounge in the Malmaison
Any details of note about your big day?: We wanted a small intimate wedding so we could spend time together on the day we get married. We wanted to try and pick local vendors when I came to flowers, venues and yourself!
