Katie & Ollie’s wedding at Towneley Hall & teepee reception in Burnley
I had such a blast at Katie & Oliver’s wedding at Towneley Hall!
These two met many years ago at primary school where they were friends. 16 years later they found each other on Facebook, began chatting again and now here we are!
Katie & Ollie had their wedding ceremony at the beautiful Towneley Hall, Historic House, Art Gallery & Museum before heading to their teepee wedding reception on their friend’s farmland near Burnley with absolutely beautiful countryside views of Pendle Hill.
Brilliant bar service was provided by The Bar Stewards – Mobile Bar Hire & Stomping Grounds‘ delicious food from their truck accompanied the laid-back vibe of Katie & Ollie’s day perfectly.
One of the highlights of the day was when Katie & Ollie’s dogs Rudy & Genie visited the teepee for photographs – I love it when pets make an appearance on wedding days!
The whole day had such a chilled atmosphere with no strict timeline. There was drunken dancing, speeches & food whenever people felt like and a brilliant time was had by all.

I’m really critical of photos of myself usually, but you captured so much happiness and love in our photos that I can’t look at them with anything but joy! You created such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, putting us all at ease and capturing wonderful candid moments because of it. You juggled the delicate balance between bossy enough to keep our rowdy families focussed in the formal photos, and then chilled enough to capture so much laughter and love. You have such a keen eye for detail and we noticed you constantly moving little bits around (eg. a disguarded water bottle, a coat etc) so that they wouldn’t take away from the photo. You were able to perfectly execute dramatic cover photo shots, cute indie shots and candid laughing, loved up shots. Not many photographers can do all three! Plus you got the cutest photos of our hyperactive pooches!! (Most importantly of course!) We really feel like we’ve made a friend in you. And it takes a special sort of person to make people feel that way. Thank you again so much for capturing the magic of our day so perfectly.”
