Wow, where do I start with Lauren & Alex's amazing wedding at Ashfield House?

Well firstly, I think I have to mention how incredibly stunning Lauren looked in this Brides at Charnock Farm dress. The detail on the back! And Lauren and her bridesmaids all looked super glam thanks to Makeup By Emma Brown & The Blonde & The Bears. I absolutely loved the all white bridesmaid's dresses too and the gent's dinner suits - super super classy.

Sarah at The Rose Boutique, Wigan absolutely smashed the flowers once again. Simple white flowers and lots of greenery is always a winner.

Lauren arranged for Alex's family dogs to make an entrance mid-ceremony which was such a touching moment as any dog-lover will understand, that pets really are family and Alex had no idea that these two very special guests would be joining us! I absolutely love corgis so I was so so happy that Blue & Belle could stop for a few photos! They were such good models.

A little bit more about Lauren & Alex and their plans for their wedding day at Ashfield House, Wigan:

“Describe the proposal!: I decided to take Alex away on his birthday to Alston with a lovely hotel and taster menu meal trying to be all posh! We hated the food and sat in bed eating cereal bars haha! The next day Alex rushed into the car taking all of our bags and shouting me to hurry up, it was crisp and sunny and started snowing, he took me to Aira Force in the lakes and walked around the frozen waterfalls, at the very top Alex got down on one knee (he even googled which knee was appropriate haha) he then surprised me with another night away in the Laura Ashley hotel in the honeymoon suite. We woke up the next day after a lot of gin and prosecco to a frozen and frosty morning over Lake Windermere.

What is special about your venue?: We love that Ashfield House feels like our home every time we go in. The people are so lovely and also we feel it is a little bit different to a barn style/ church wedding, we feel we can really create a chic modern feel to the day all under one roof! The bedrooms are gorgeous too! Everything has been thought about!

Any details of note about your big day?: Our theme is quite minimal and modern/chic. We love interiors so we have gone for splashes of black ( the suits, candles and decoration on the cake) as well as white and green flowers. We are trying to keep all stationary clean and modern to create a romantic yet effortless feel! We are hoping for a super fun day where everyone can relax and dance their feet off!”

We are hugely family orientated and love our fluffy friends so we decided on having them be a part of our day. We saw Maddie had taken such warm, happy photos with little dogs too and we knew she was the one! The prep beforehand was so simple with Maddie and made our planning a lot easier. She went above and beyond on the day, she fit in so well and disguised herself too when she had to! I really can’t thank her enough! Then we received the photos and we were blown away! Thanks so much we are over the moon with everything.”
