Kate & Marcus’ wedding at Ashfield House, Standish

Kate & Marcus had their winter wedding at the wonderfully cosy Ashfield House.

Kate & Marcus told me they chose Ashfield House in Standish, Wigan as their venue “because it felt right from the moment we walked through the door. The staff really are so welcoming – you can tell it’s a family run business. The spaces are beautiful and bright, and the whole house flows really well from room to room.” – I completely agree that it was the perfect choice and I’m very excited to be back here next year!

The Rose Boutique did an incredible job with the flowers & dressing the venue to fit Kate & Marcus’ colour scheme of ‘champagne golds, nudes and dusky pink colours which a touch of sparkle’. I especially loved the very festive installation around the front door of Ashfield House.

I’d really recommend Ashfield House if you are looking for a modern wedding venue that still has plenty of character and quirky details! It’s also perfect for winter weddings.

A few lovely words from Kate & Marcus: “Maddie was just brilliant from start to finish. She took the time to meet us beforehand to understand the photos we wanted from the day and to learn more about us. We then had a video call a few weeks before the big day to confirm all details. She really captured our day perfectly – Maddie is so friendly and really put everyone at ease. With it being winter, she made sure we got all the shots we needed before the sun went down, while still allowing us time to go and chat to guests before the wedding breakfast. The winter sunlight in our photos is beautiful, and there are so many lovely photos of things throughout the day that we didn’t spot ourselves. She turned both our preview and full gallery around really quickly, and we’ve had SO many compliments from friends and family about our gorgeous photos. We couldn’t be happier with them.
