Congratulations to Laura & George! I loved their DIY wedding at East Keswick Village Hall. Laura & George went all out with colour which perfectly matched these gorgeous flowers from The Petal Studio. The decor was super bright and colourful which I absolutely loved! Plus it was all DIY by Laura & George. Laura & George had a beautiful outdoor ceremony with a celebrant where all their guests sat on hay bales, and sealed the deal with tequila shots

How did you two meet?: We met 10 years ago at Lancaster University. We were put in the same flat in our halls and soon became friends. It wasn't until 2nd year (after binging Breaking Bad together) that we started dating. It was George who told Laura's housemate he liked her.

Describe the proposal!: It was New Years Eve 2020 and we were in our 2nd lockdown. George had plans to propose many months before (in Colombia, on Mt Snowdon to name a few) but all holidays were cancelled, so the living room it was! It had just turned midnight, we'd been making cocktails and playing games all evening - just the two of us - so it was a perfect way to round off a pretty sh***y year.

What is special about your venue?: It was actually the only venue we viewed. As soon as we went, we fell in love with the fields at the back. We are definitely more comfortable in the outdoors and knew we wanted greenery. It had a very relaxed, casual vibe, which is exactly what we wanted. We also relished the challenge of a DIY venue so we could really put our own stamp on it and make it ours.

Any details of note about your big day?: - We made the BEST DAY EVER sign which is probably our favourite DIY - Laura's mum made the cake - The first dance song is not one people may know, but the moment we heard it on our final night after backpacking around Thailand, we both knew it would be our first dance song - The theme is bright/multicoloured - We are hoping to have the ceremony outside, but there is an indoor backup plan if it rains

On the day, she was an incredibly calming presence and it felt like having a old friend take our photos. She completely understood the relaxed vibe we wanted and the pictures did not disappoint. We received our preview soon after the wedding, and the whole album came shortly after. The photos are stunning and really capture the day.
