Rosie and Rick’s glastonbury themed wedding in Keighley
It was an absolute pleasure to photograph Rick & Rosie’s wedding. I’ve known Rosie and her family since I was small and I can honestly say they are some of the loveliest folks I have ever met! This East Riddlesden Hall Wedding was full of heart. There were so many personal little touches that Rosie & Rick had added to personalise the barn, one of my favourites being the fireman’s helmet next to their welly-boot table plan (Rick is a fire fighter!)
Rosie & Rick had a Glastonbury theme to their wedding which worked so well with the rustic feel of the barn at East Riddlesden Hall. They both love going to festivals and it was at Glastonbury where the two really felt like they were falling for each other! There were ‘wedfest’ signs posting to the ceremony as guests arrived and a ‘stone circle’ made of hay bales. The seating plan was made from wellies (a Glasto staple) and each table was named after a different stage – the top table being ‘the pyramid stage’ of course! I absolutely loved the crazy amount of fresh flowers at this wedding, they made the barn look even more beautiful.
Rosie & Rick had a beautiful and relaxed ceremony in the Airdale Barn which was decorated with candles and bunting. Their friend Shawn played ‘Heartbeats’ by Jose Gonzalez on guitar as Rosie walked down the aisle and ‘Wonderwall’ as her and Rick left the barn as husband and wife! I love ceremonies in the barn at East Riddlesden Hall because you get such a stunning view of the lake and the old hall in the distance. After the ceremony, guests had plenty of time to mingle and relax in the ‘stone circle’ whilst I took some group photographs.
The gardens at East Riddlesden Hall are beautiful in the summer, and we got some beautiful photographs amongst all the flowers. My favourites are the ones of Rick cuddling Rosie and her laughing – too cute! In the evening live band Duncan Disorderly played some amazing covers of 90’s classics which got everyone up and dancing.
