Hardcastle Crags Hebden Bridge Wedding
Caitlin & Ben
Huge congratulations to Caitlin & Ben on their wedding at Gibson Mill last week! These two are the loveliest couple who made sure I was well looked after all day and even gifted me some D&D dice as a little wedding favour - thank you so much!
It was lovely to be back at Gibson Mill in Hardcastle Crags again. I’ll never get tired of photographing this venue with all it’s beautiful woodland surroundings - there really is something new to discover every time! Big thank you to The Outside Kitchen who made sure I was well fed and band The Distance who were lovely to meet and to chat to on the day!
Thanks for having me there!
How did you two meet?: At sixth form college in A level chemistry class
Describe the proposal!: Weekend in York in December for our 10 year anniversary. Incredible meal at Roots followed by a walk down by the river where Ben proposed just the two of us, surrounded by all the Christmas lights twinkling off the river.
What is special about your venue?: It feels like a magical little haven. We’d never been until we’d booked to view it but as soon as we saw it all covered in snow we knew it was perfect.
Any details of note about your big day?: Will hopefully look like a ‘secret garden’ theme. I have made the signs and pressed the flowers that will hopefully be used on the table signs if it works out. Mother in law to be has made bunting, table runners and grown the table decoration flowers. Maid of honour will have made the cake.
