Gabby & Scott’s DIY wedding at Pike Barn, Littleborough
Last Saturday I headed back to my hometown of Littleborough to photograph a VERY local wedding at Pike House Barn. Gabby, Scott and their friends and family did an incredible job of transforming the barn for their wedding reception for Pike House Barn’s first ever wedding!
Gabby & Scott had their relaxed ceremony outdoors in front of a beautiful Pennine backdrop followed by drinks and lawn games before revealing the amazing barn to their guests. Dinner took an unexpected turn when Singer Waiter, Craig, burst into song and dance and got the whole room involved into the biggest conga line I’ve ever seen.
Gabby & Scott, your day was fantastic, and it was great to see so many local Littleborough suppliers involved.
DIY barn venues, food trucks, dogs, outdoor ceremonies and all round relaxed vibes are definitely my jam when it comes to weddings and I had so much fun photographing your day!
”Describe the proposal!: We went to our favourite restaurant in Edinburgh, Angels with Bagpipes. Scott had booked a private dining room and had champagne waiting on our arrival.
What is special about your venue?: It’s a farmers barn less than a mile from Gabrielle’s mum and dads house. Everything will be homemade and we’ve been able to have everything we wanted.
Any details of note about your big day?: Made the bunting, we are getting married on the field weather permitting, hay bales, we’ve got an ice-cream van coming and a food truck. We have a singing waiter in between courses.
Scott’s friend is doing a acoustic set and actually playing whilst we walk down the aisle.”
