Ellie & Marcus’ small wedding in Stockport
One of the few positives of the past 12+ months is that I’ve gotten to know my couples really well by keeping in touch through this difficult time.
Ellie & Marcus first got in touch with me in March 2019! And since then we’ve kept in touch. During their wedding last week, it felt as though I was catching up with some old pals and I had a great time!
Ellie & Marcus really are the coolest couple. I wanted to incorporate some of the things they love into their photos such as Strawberry Studios in Stockport where Paul McCartney recorded (Ellie’s favourite Beatle!).
The pair met at a Beatles event and I loved all the little Beatles and musical touches to their day. Marcus is a brilliant musician who has been writing his own music recently which played during Ellie & Marcus’ small ceremony at Stockport Town Hall.

A few words from Ellie & Marcus:
”How did you two meet?: I’m a huge Beatles fan, and Marcus played guitar in a Paul McCartney band. We met in Liverpool at a Beatles event and the rest is history…!
Describe the proposal!: We’d had a wonderful celebration of my stepsons 12th birthday, and had been to a local restaurant eating Lebanese food and Marcus was belly dancing!
The family party continued into the wee small hours, and Marcus proposed while we were incredibly worse for wear!
What is special about your venue?: It’s nicknamed the wedding cake – it seemed appropriate! Stockport also holds fond memories for me and my family, it’s also the start of the river Mersey and the wonderful 10cc are from the area!
Any details of note about your big day?: Our theme is a mish mash of traditional tattoos, rock music and a geeky mix of Harry Potter and the Wizard of Oz!”
