Laura & James’ intimate wedding in Leeds city centre
Laura & James’ wedding at The Tetley, Leeds was the first I have photographed post-lockdown! It feels like forever since I’ve been able to photograph an amazing day like this and I’m so glad I could be a part of it. Laura & James opted to have a small wedding ceremony at The Tetley in Leeds, surrounded by their close family, which I was lucky enough to be able to photograph. Then afterwards, I stuck around for a short while to take some relaxed portraits of the happy couple.
Big thanks to the staff at The Tetley who kept everything safe & organised on the day and created a lovely atmosphere for everyone!

A few words from Laura & James about their day at The Tetley:
Describe the proposal!: In Brighton at devils dyke – we went on a walk with Betsy our cocker spaniel, during the walk James tied the ring (in the box) to Betsy who brought it to me and the rest is history. After saying yes, we had a picnic in the garden of the Airbnb and watched cricket, where England won the world cup unexpectedly.
What is special about your venue?: We love the building’s history and its features. We were also keen to get married somewhere a little different and really liked the industrial look of The Tetley as well as its sign and the archway.
Any details of note about your big day?: We had quite a few plans but with everything going on we haven’t been able to do them all. The decorations, coloured threads/ bunting is selvedge waste from Laura’s work. All the flowers (except the bouquet) were grown in our garden and arranged by Laura. We have collected all the vases and candle holders from various charity shops. The confetti is dried flowers from our garden and my neighbours hydrangea bush.
