Titanic Hotel Liverpool

Eclectic style wedding in Liverpool

Titanic Hotel Liverpool Wedding

This Titanic Hotel Liverpool wedding was full of colour, personality, and thoughtful details. Leanne & Matt’s day was an absolute joy to photograph, from the bold styling choices to the relaxed, celebratory atmosphere that ran throughout the day. I love a colourful, eclectic wedding, and this one delivered in every way!

The disco balls, neon lights, and incredible pink florals by Mary Mary all came together perfectly, creating a space that felt vibrant and full of energy while still being completely true to the couple.

Getting Ready at the Titanic Hotel Liverpool

One of the things I really love about photographing a Titanic Hotel Liverpool wedding is how brilliant the rooms are for getting ready photos. They’re spacious, beautifully styled, and filled with dramatic lighting that works so well for relaxed, atmospheric prep shots. Having plenty of space also makes the morning feel calmer, which always shows in the photos.

An Industrial Wedding Venue with Character

The Titanic Hotel itself has an industrial feel, with exposed brick ands steel features. This raw, industrial backdrop suited Leanne & Matt’s wedding style perfectly and worked beautifully alongside their colourful décor choices.

Dockside Portraits in Liverpool

The surrounding docks are another huge highlight of a Titanic Hotel Liverpool wedding. They offer something a little different for portraits and are ideal if you’re looking for an alternative wedding venue in Liverpool.

Photographing Familiar Faces

I first met Leanne & Matt back in 2019 when I photographed one of their friends’ weddings, so it was especially lovely to be invited along to document their day too. I always feel incredibly honoured when couples book me after meeting me at another wedding, it’s the best compliment!

A Few Words from Leanne & Matthew

How did you two meet?

We met on Tinder!

Describe the proposal!

Matthew proposed to me in the exact spot where we had our first kiss on our first date.

What is special about your venue, The Titanic Hotel Liverpool?

I love the industrial vibe of the venue. With its bare brick walls and concrete floors, and we felt it would work perfectly with our theme. We also wanted to keep the entire day and night in the same place, so our kids could be put to bed in the hotel by the babysitter while we carried on the celebrations downstairs without having to move venues.

Any details of note about your big day?

We were inspired by Studio 54 and wanted to really lean into disco balls and neon lights. Our main aim was for everything to feel fun, and we were determined not to have anything too traditional or “safe”. We had our own neon sign made with the words “I think I’ve fallen in love”, which is our song and the song for our first dance (I Think by Tyler, The Creator). I’m also having the phrase stitched into my veil and had it engraved on my bottle of perfume for the day. I even made our confetti myself, using all the flowers Matt bought me since the proposal.
