Cat & Jim's wedding was a perfectly chilled out day. Although these two had a lot of guests, there was no frills or fuss. Todmorden Town Hall was the perfect venue to host so many people and made for a wonderful ceremony room when dressed with a few colourful paper decorations (and pumpkins!).
The day began at Cat & Jim's house just outside of Todmorden. Their two girls were getting ready at home which made for some great photographs. Cat & Jim's house is decorated beautifully and I couldn't help but use some of their amazing bathroom tiles for some detail shots!
We then headed just up the road to Todmorden Town Hall where both the ceremony & party took place. We were very lucky to have some gorgeous winter sun which lit the Town Hall beautifully during the ceremony. Todmorden Town Hall dates back to 1888 and the ballroom where Cat & Jim's wedding took place is decorated beautifully with a green and orange ceiling and little round windows - it's a grand venue that is still full of charm and character.
After the ceremony, we headed across the road to one of the old cobbled streets in Todmorden for some photographs. We stopped outside the Three Wise Monkeys, a bar that Cat & Jim have had many dates in (and my favourite Thai restaurant!). The sunlight was just magical and we some really lovely relaxed photographs - even if we did have to move for traffic occasionally!
There was no formal sit-down meal at Cat & Jim's wedding. Everyone just got stuck in to the most amazing Thai buffet (provided by the Three Wise Monkeys!) which made for an amazingly chilled-out afternoon where everyone could mingle and chat at their own pace.
After the speeches, Jim took to the stage with his band for some live entertainment which everyone had a good dance to! Music is an important part of Cat & Jim's life and it was great to see them include something really personal to them as part of their wedding day.
