Jessica & Ben had a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Woodlands Hotel last week. I love outdoor ceremonies, they give such a relaxed feel to the day and I'm so glad the weather held up for Jessica & Ben!

Alina Florist filled the marquee with all kinds of beautiful greenery. And guests were given these adorable succulents as favours (you can never have too many succulents! )

It feels like such a long time ago since Jessica & Ben got in touch with me and it's been lovely to get to know them both. From me and Jessica being old colleagues (for a brief amount of time!), to numerous meetings, emails and their engagement session together. Time really does fly and I can't believe how quickly their wedding came around!

A few words from Jessica & Ben about their wedding at The Woodlands Hotel, Leeds:

”How did you two meet?: We met when we were 18 after being introduced by friends on a night out in Halifax, we re-met years later, November 2015 aged 24 when we started dating.

Describe the proposal!: The proposal was everything that I expected from Ben, it was thoughtful and quiet but completely spur of the moment. After going out for tea with my Mum and Dad, Ben suggested that we went for a drink so took a different route home. He started driving quite erratically and I was questioning what was happening until we pulled up on a dirt track and he asked me to get out of the car. When I got out, he said to me "this is where we came for our first walk together, so I wanted to bring you back here to ask you if you'll marry me" he was very nervous and repeated the same few sentences again and again but it was very thoughtful! The first photograph I took while we were together was on this track and he knows how important photographs are to me.

What is special about your venue?: We love our venue because we can get married outside and spend lots of time outside with our families and friends. The marquee for the wedding breakfast is really light and airy and we are adding lots of greenery!

Any details of note about your big day?: No theme for our wedding apart from neutral colours and lots of greenery!”
