Beth & Dan's outdoor wedding in ripponden
I absolutely loved being a part of Beth & Dan's proper Yorkshire wedding in Ripponden. It was a great chilled out day that started at Beth & Dan's gorgeous cottage for bridal prep, then onto their local church in the hills of Ripponden and finally their marquee reception at Beth's parents house. I loved how these two kept everything so close to home, allowing me to photograph their day in a totally relaxed fashion. Keep scrolling for more!

Beth & Dan got engaged just over a year before their wedding. Dan proposed at their cottage in Ripponden, Beth told me "There was a gorgeous bouquet on the side and a bottle of champagne and I didn't no what was going on! Not quite how I imaged being proposed to in (in my jodhpurs and stinking of horses) but was really special and meant we could have all our friends round to celebrate with us that evening."
Being close to home was an important theme for Beth & Dan's wedding, "We both really wanted to have the wedding as close to home as possible so we could have all our friends and family to celebrate with us! We were lucky enough to be able to have a marquee in my mum and dad's field where we had an amazing day with the most beautiful views! I have a very crafty mum and mother in law who has some amazingly talented friends who helped us to create a beautiful country flowery theme!" - I love it when couples get crafty with DIY decor!
The day began with bridal prep at Beth & Dan's house. I love being a part of the morning preparations because I get to know the bridesmaids and Mums early on in the day! Beth had 5 amazing bridesmaids and there was an amazing energy in the house that morning before we headed to the church in the vintage cars. The church ceremony was intimate and full of smiles and afterwards I asked the guests to form a confetti tunnel for Beth & Dan to walk through.
Everyone then headed to the marquee for drinks and an amazing hog roast (and a real 'cheesecake' for dessert!). Beth & Dan had an old vintage caravan on-site used as a photo-booth and the Funk Soul Family played us some tunes until the early hours.
Beth & Dan gave me some lovely feedback: "Maddie did an absolutely amazing job. She was a total trooper arriving first thing in the morning and leaving late in to the evening reception! This meant she was able to capture all the best moments of the day in her natural and relaxed style." - Thanks guys! It was amazing being a part of your day!
