Industrial meet bohemian bridal shoot at Beehive Studio, Manchester
I am so excited to share this styled shoot from Beehive Studio Manchester!
A few weeks ago I met up with a friend from my commercial photography days - the lovely Catherine from Beehive Studio. As soon as I saw her amazing studio I knew it would be perfect for an unusual bridal shoot.
A few emails & Instagram messages later, and I'd found a team of the most amazing wedding vendors who helped to put together this 'industrial meets boho' bridal shoot.
It was a great day to practice refining some of my camera techniques, getting some beaut shots & of course meeting some lovely new wedding folks. ️
The inspiration for our photoshoot at Beehive Studios in Manchester was a bohemian style with a bright, modern feel. I went to visit Catherine who runs Beehive a couple of weeks prior to the shoot, and seeing how light & airy her studio space is gave me the initial inspiration for the photoshoot. I wanted to incorporate the white brick walls & concrete floors into the styling of the shoot to give it a bit of an urban edge.
I found the 'Curious Bride' online run by Hannah, who focuses on creating beautiful eco-friendly bridal-wear. We opted for less traditional bridal-wear such as a two-piece top & skirt set or toughening up a dress with a leather jacket & boots. Hannah also brought some pieces with a 70s feel which fitted the bohemian style of our shoot perfectly such as the long-sleeved swing dress & maxi-dress with bell sleeves.
Warm florals with hints of oranges, mustards & pampus grasses were chosen by florist Hannah Grubisic & event stylist company Shindig Event Styling to compliment the bohemian theme.
