The Castlefield Rooms Wedding

I absolutely love working at The Castlefield Rooms - it’s one of my favourite Manchester city centre wedding venues! Click below to see more weddings I’ve photographed at The Castlefield Rooms.

Sarah & Peter

After a few rearrangements due to the pandemic, Sarah & Peter finally had their beautiful day at one of my favourite venues The Castlefield Rooms in Manchester. Sarah & Peter had guests flying in from all over the world for their wedding, and I’m so glad they could finally have they day they wanted.

I love that Sarah & Peter involved parts of their own heritage and culture into their day, but still had a wedding that was unique to them. One of my favourite parts of the day to photograph was the first look on the balcony which was very emotional. I also loved photographing the Chinese Tea Ceremony which took part after the wedding ceremony.

Kind words from Sarah & Peter: “Having Maddie as our wedding photographer was fantastic! She is very professional, always responsive and helpful. On the day, she was very patient, supportive and made us feel at ease. The photos turned out amazing and all this thanks to her talent and hard work! Thanks Maddie again, you’re a superstar!”

Philippa & Sammi

Philippa & Sammi live in Sweden but have a special place in their hearts for Manchester as they lived in Castlefield a few years ago. They chose to get ready together with their bridesmaids in the beautiful Lockhouse at The Castlefield Rooms and then had a first look in the gardens. For those who don't know, a first look is when you see your partner in their wedding attire before the ceremony and spend a few special moments together before walking down the aisle. It's a really beautiful moment to photograph!
Frog flowers also based in Manchester did an incredible job. The ceremony & reception at The Castlefield Rooms looked amazing with these greenery centrepieces and the bridesmaid’s flowers were beautiful!

After the ceremony me, Sammi & Philippa took a walk around Castlefield which is one of my favourite places to photograph in Manchester. There are so many cool industrial backdrops - I'll never get tired of photographing here!
Philippa & Sammi gorgeous natural makeup is by the wonderful O R A. Also a special shout out to Philippa's sister who had the best dancefloor moves I've seen in a long time. Thank you for having me! It was an amazing day!

Sammi & Philippa’s wedding is featured on Offbeat Bride!

A few kind words from Sammi & Philippa: “What can we say! Maddie and her photos were way beyond what we ever expected. We found her on Instagram and when we met her her bubbly personality and genuine interest made us feel great, she asked the right questions and made sure that we would be happy! On the day she was so creative, and the entire wedding party loved her, she has a natural talent and we would really recommend her to others! We absolutely love our photos!”

Castlefield Rooms mANCHESTER weddings

The Castlefield Rooms is perfect if you are looking for a small to medium sized wedding venue in Manchester. Positioned right in the city centre near Castlefield Bowl & the canal, there are plenty of options for creative photographs.
I personally love how close The Castlefield Rooms is to the railway bridge which makes for a dramatic, industrial backdrop that feels quintessentially ‘Manchester’! There’s also the beautiful canal, cobbles and iconic red brickwork which all add to the character of the venue and photographs. I love this venue so much because there is so much to use in walking distance for creative & quirky wedding photos!

The Castlefield Rooms venue itself consists of three different rooms. The main room features beautiful wooden floors & beams. It doesn’t take much in terms of decor to make this room feel like a really special space as it’s already full of character. There is another larger room just behind this one which is perfect if you are having a larger evening party and want a bigger dance floor space. There is also a small bar/gallery across the other side of Dukes 92 which is perfect for your drinks reception after the ceremony. This bar also features a balcony space with lovely views of Castlefield.
