Harewood House Leeds Wedding
Emma & Adam’s wedding at the Harewood House Food & Drink Project
Emma & Adam chose a personal and intimate wedding day that suited them and it was absolutely beautiful. A perfect reminder that you don’t have to have a big wedding reception if you don’t want to - it’s your day!
Emma & Adam chose a to have a private dining experience in this stunning room at Harewood House after a small wedding ceremony with their close family and friends (plus Lou the dog was there for the photos!)
Fantastic food with your nearest & dearest sounds like the perfect day to me!
Describe the proposal!: It happened in the Lake District. We climbed Cat Bells and I proposed at the summit overlooking Derwent water. We descended to the edge of the lake and had a champagne picnic. We then stayed for a couple of nights at the Forest Side which is a lovely hotel and kitchen garden restaurant within a converted gothic mansion.
What is special about your venue?: It’s a humble and unassuming converted stable block dating from the 1700’s and it is accessed via a beautiful tree lined road in a quiet area of the Harewood House Estate. The deer park for the estate is also just a stones throw from the building.
The venue is the home of Harewood Food and Drink Project and executive chef Josh Whitehead, and the space is ordinarily used for a series of fine dining events. The focus of the food is seasonality and utilising ingredients from across the estate.
The plant room have created a fabulous flower installation for the dining room.
Any details of note about your big day?: Food and drink!
